University of Southern Maine records first men’s soccer win of the season

Cole Johnson scored a game winning goal in the 60th minute on Wednesday afternoon in lifting the University of Southern Maine men’s soccer team to their first win of the season by topping UMaine-Farmington 4-1 in non-conference action in Farmington.

Exauce Lenge (Portland High), Peter Sargent (Deering), and Alex Graver (Freeport) also scored for the Huskies who improved to 1-2-6. It was the first career collegiate goal for Sargent. Garrett Gendreau (Waterville) had the goal for the 4-5-1 Beavers.
