Here are the results/some stats from the Division III football ranks in the NESCAC on Saturday, October 11th involving Maine teams. The Conference of New England (Husson, UNE, and Maine Maritime Academy) had a bye week-
Wesleyan 24 at Colby 7
*Antone Moreis ran for 72 yards and a touchdown for Colby (2-3). Matt Fitzsimons threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Donte Kelly reeled in 12 receptions for 140 yards and a score for Wesleyan (4-1).
Amherst 34 at Bowdoin College 7
*Peter Macaulay ran for a touchdown for Bowdoin (0-5). Marek Hill had 334 yards passing for two touchdowns and added a touchdown on the ground, while Demetrius Smith rushed for 107 yards on 13 carries and a score for Amherst (4-1).
Bates 35 at Tufts 28
*Bates (2-3) outscored Tufts 14-0 in the fourth quarter to take the road win. Ryan Lynskey had a huge game with 32 rushes for 221 yards and four touchdowns, including the game winning 24-yard scoring run with 58 seconds left. Hudson Weidman had 204 yards passing and three touchdowns in the loss for Tufts (2-3).
