Kooper Badger had three goals and two assists in the first half and four saves in goal in the second half in a 7-0 Penquis win over Searsport. Badger received 1272 to capture male athlete of the week. Owen Corrigan from Caribou finished as runner up with 859 votes.
Badger joins Isaiah Bess (5) (3-4-13), Trevor Lyford (3) (2-23-14), Cymeria Robshaw (2) (10-28-18), Camryn Rolfe (9-30-18), Alvin Robshaw (9-29-21), Abbie Conlogue (10-25-22, Lauren Veino (9-12-2024- also 1 with PVHS, Brooklyn Decker (2) (1-1-25), Brenan Grant (1-1-25, Makayla Cook (2) (6/11/25), and Ewa Ziolkowska (10/2/25) as student/athletes from Penquis High School that have earned athlete of the week honors. Other nominees this week were • Kody Kimball, Brady Gaw- PCHS, Seth Bowden- Nokomis, Trent Goss – Bucksport, Stephone Ross- Nokomis, Vince Heibel- Fort Fairfield, and Calvin Richardson- Katahdin.
