Maine field hockey earns their first America East win of the season

The Maine field hockey team used five different goal scorers, and put up three tallies in the fourth quarter to pull away from Bryant 6-1 for their first America East win of the season at the Maine Field Hockey Complex in Orono on Friday afternoon.

Nicole Kowalewski had the eventual game winner in the second quarter for the Black Bears. Taylor Katsube scored twice, while Emily Chisholm, Eloise Penty, and Zoe Furber each added a goal a piece. Saylor Kuefler chipped in two assists. Rozarie Mrazova made one save in net, as Maine improved to 4-9 and 1-2 in America East. Natalie Griffin had the lone goal for Bryant, who falls to 3-10 and 0-3 in the conference. The Black Bears host a non-conference game against Boston University on Saturday, before taking on UMass-Lowell also at home in league play next Friday afternoon.
