Husson women’s cross country tops the Terriers at the Thomas Invitational

The Husson University women’s cross country team turned in a great collective performance on Saturday, capturing a. team title over Thomas College at the Thomas Invitational at Quarry Road Trails in Waterville.

The Eagles placed six runners inside the top 10 to outpace the Terriers for the victory at the six kilometer course.

Maria Protheroe (Oceanside High School) claimed the individual title for Thomas College with a time of 25:09.1, while Grace Bedore finished as the runner-up for Husson at 25:36.4. Here are the times and finishes for the other runners for the Eagles that gave them the win-

Lucinda Carroll (4th)- 28:02.8

Nina Huber (Foxcroft, 5th)- 28:44:2

Molly Dearborn (7th)- 29:19.1

Brooke Martin (Windham, 8th)- 29:20.6

Abby Hunt (Bucksport) and Lexi Freeman (Lewiston) also contributed solid efforts across the lineup with times of 30:45.6 and 31:38.1 respectively.

Husson will now get ready to host the North Atlantic Conference Championship meet at Saxl Park in Bangor on Saturday, November 1st.
