Maine football head coach Jordan Stevens announced this week during the conference media call that Nick Laughlin (Cape Elizabeth) suffered a season ending knee injury during the 20-13 win at Merrimack on October 11th. Laughlin had scored three touchdowns (two receiving, one rushing) in his final three games prior to the injury.
The Black Bears will hope to have running back Sincere Baines in the lineup this Saturday afternoon, October 25th in their homecoming game vs Elon. Baines was also banged up in the victory over the Warriors. Rashawn Marshall who rushed for 146 yards in the place of Baines should also see time at the position. The contest vs Elon is a big one in the CAA, as Maine is 2-1 in league play while the Phoenix stand at 2-2.
