The University of Maine-Fort Kent men’s and women’s soccer teams have qualified for the USCAA Division I National Tournament to be held in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania beginning next week. The Bengals women’s team is the #1 overall seed, while the men got a #3 seed. On the Division II side, the Central Maine Community College men garnered the top seed. All three teams will begin pool play next Friday, November 14th. The DI national championship games are set to be played on Sunday, November 16th, while D2 plays their final on Monday, November 17th.
UMFK Athletic Director Jason Coleman said, “We are very excited about the opportunity in front of us to represent our University on the national stage. Both of our programs have had terrific seasons, and we look forward to competing for a national championship next week!”.
