Here are the local Division III football results/some stats from Saturday, November 8th-
Conference of New England:
-University of New England 30 at Curry College 47
*The Colonels (8-1, 6-0 CNE) scored 24 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to pick up the comeback home win. Montie Quinn had 282 yards rushing with two touchdowns. Damien Jones ran for 267 yards and four TDs for the Nor’Easters (7-2, 4-2).
-Western New England 70 at Maine Maritime Academy 7
*Paul Gorry went 21-23 passing for 257 yards and four touchdowns, as the Golden Bears (5-4, 3-3 CNE) rolled to the road win. Auston Harris ran for 151 yards and a touchdown for the Mariners (0-9, 0-6).
-Husson 63 at Nichols College 19
*Max Clark passed for 181 yards and four touchdowns, while Jed Lober rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns as the Eagles (3-6, 2-4 CNE) picked up their second conference win. Ian Snow would pass for 299 yards and two touchdowns for the Bison (2-7, 2-4).
NESCAC:
-Hamilton 24 at Bates 21
*Nate Wildman had a go ahead 6-yard touchdown run with five minutes left in the third quarter, as the Continentals (2-7) squeezed past Bates. Connor Hennessey had 224 yards passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss for the Bobcats as Bates also ends their season at 2-7.
-Bowdoin 6 at Colby 16
*The Mules scored all 16 of their points in the second quarter on a safety, a Patrick Miller 2-yard TD run, and a pick six of 28- yards by Declan McNamara. Soren Hummel had a 28-yard TD pass to Slade Postemski late in the game for the Polar Bears who end their season at 2-7. Colby under head coach Jack Cosgrove finishes their year at 6-3, as Wesleyan and Trinity shared the 2025 NESCAC Title with 7-2 records.
