The Boston Red Sox have acquired starting pitcher Sonny Gray from the St. Louis Cardinals. Gray waived his no-trade clause, and will essentially get $41 million for 1 year. Boston is sending Brandon Clarke and Richard Fitts to St. Louis in exchange for Gray, but are also receiving $20 million back from the Cardinals. The right hander went 14-8 last season with a 4.28 earned run average in 32 starts, striking out 201 in 180.2 innings.

Sports fan all my life. Enjoy all levels- high school, college, and professional. Boston sports fan in the four major sports. My college heart is with Maine Black Bears- also Michigan Wolverines on a more major level for basketball and football. I live in Bangor, have a daughter and granddaughter, and work full-time supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. Sports has been my passion since I was real young- I'm living out a dream being involved with the best sports group in Maine. Hope you enjoy our writings and the website.
