Maine Mariners continue solid start to ECHL season by beating Norfolk

The Maine Mariners continued their solid start to the 2025-26 ECHL season by beating the Norfolk Admirals 4-1 in Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday night.

A night after rallying past Norfolk 3-2 with two goals in the third period, there was no drama in this one as Xander Lamppa, Caden Villegas, and Jacob Hudson made it 3-0 all scoring in the second stanza. Brad Arvanitis made 25 saves in net for the Mariners, who improved their record to 10-4-2-1. They are currently in second place in the North Division, and third in the Eastern Conference. Arvanitis became the leader in franchise history with his 33rd career victory in net for Maine, surpassing Connor LaCouvee.
