UMF women’s basketball beats Husson for the first time in 16 years

In North Atlantic Conference action at Farmington on Saturday, the UMaine-Farmington women’s basketball team earned their first win over Husson since 2009 with a 78-67 victory.

Jaydn Pingree (Spruce Mountain) had 26 points, and Jessica Dow (Thornton) had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Beavers who improved to 7-3 and 5-1 in the league. Audrey Mackie (Oceanside) also contributed 12 points. Lily Roy (Wisdom) led Husson with 21 points and seven rebounds, Abby Radel (Ellsworth) recorded 18 points and seven rebounds, and Saige Evans put in 13 points and grabbed 17 boards for the Eagles who drop to 4-3 and 3-2 respectively.
