The New England Patriots rallied from a 24-13 deficit with 12:53 left in the fourth quarter on Sunday night in Baltimore, clinching a playoff spot with a 28-24 come from behind victory over the Ravens.
Drake Maye began the comeback when he tossed a 37-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Williams, and then converted a two-point pass to Rhamondre Stevenson. Later in the fourth quarter, he helped to engineer the game winning 89 yard drive in 2:55 culminating with a 21-yard TD run by Stevenson with 2:15 remaining. Baltimore (7-8) had one final chance, but after a catch by Zay Flowers he was stripped of the ball by K’Lavon Chaisson and Marcus Jones recovered to end it.
Maye went 31-44 passing for 380 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Stevenson rushed eight times for 51 yards and a score. After three straight games of not reaching even 30 yards receiving, Stefon Diggs stepped up big with nine receptions for 138 yards. The Patriots (12-3) are still in contention for the #1 seed in the AFC, and will clinch the AFC East with either a win this coming Sunday on the road vs the Jets or a Bills loss to the Eagles.
