Bigelow needed 27 points to get the milestone and she got it early in the second quarter. Scored 29 points, including 5 three-pointers in 81-42 win over Dirigo. Bigelow received 783 votes to earn female athlete of the week.
She joins Liana Hartwell (3) (1/22/25) and Harry Louis (1/20/24) as student/athletes from Valley High School that have earned athlete of the week honors.
Tenley Nadeau (Winslow) was runner up with 507 votes. Other nominees for the week were Maddie Muth- Foxcroft, Ava Lerman- Wisdom, Nola Mason- Foxcroft, Mary Allen- Bangor Christian, and Olivia Breen- Oceanside.
