Mary Allen nailed a three pointer with 32 seconds left to give Bangor Christian a lead they wouldn’t give back in a 76-73 Patriots win over Valley in Bingham on Friday night.
Allen poured in 36 points, including 11-13 from the free throw line and also made 5 three-pointers. Reese Starbird also came up big with 17 points and nine rebounds. Allen added seven rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block. Annie Allen added seven points and four rebounds. Rivers Bradford chipped in with six points and four rebounds. Bangor Christian (9-0) will be at Penquis on Saturday afternoon.
Liana Hartwell recorded 16 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block to lead the way for the Cavaliers. Delia Hill had 15 points, and Kirsten Bigelow added 13 points. Karlee Cates came off the bench to put in 10 points and also grabbed eight rebounds. Valley (8-1) will be at Forest Hills on Tuesday.
