Five players scored in double figures on Monday afternoon, as Husson rolled past SUNY-Delhi 101-83 in North Atlantic Conference men’s basketball action at Newman Gymnasium in Bangor.
The Eagles ended the first half on a 23-13 run to open up a 15 point lead at the break, which they would extend to as many as 22 in the final 20 minutes to snap a three game losing streak. Connor Heald and Eric Ahlers led the way for Husson with 21 points a piece. Ahlers recorded the double double by grabbing 13 rebounds. Andre McCauley added 18 points, Ty Henke had 15, and Gil Matondo contributed 10 points. Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim led the Broncos with 18 points. SUNY Delhi drops to 2-10 and 1-5 in the NAC. Husson improves to 6-5 and 5-1 in conference play and will host SUNY Cobleskill on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
