Wiggin leads Hermon past Foxcroft

Carter Wiggin scored 26 points to lead the Hermon Hawks to a 51-43 boys basketball win over Foxcroft on Wednesday night.

The Hawks held a 17-7 lead after the first quarter and built the advantage up to 16 in the third period. Hermon sealed the win by going 9-10 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. Wiggin scored eight points in the final eight minutes, including 4-4 from the line, and he was named Hometown Nutrition player of the game. Hermon (9-2) will host Old Town on Saturday.

Lucas Sands had 13 points, 12 rebounds, and two assists to lead the Ponies. Lennon McAfee had nine points, three assists, and two steals. Foxcroft (9-2) will be at Central on Thursday night.
