UMF men’s basketball continues to roll, winning a pair of NAC games in Vermont

The University of Maine-Farmington men’s basketball team continued their great season with a pair of North Atlantic Conference wins in Vermont over the weekend by beating Vermont State University Johnson and VSU Lyndon. The Beavers nipped winless Johnson 66-64 on Friday on a jumper at the buzzer by Kory Donlin (Medomak), as he led the way with 23 points. On Saturday in a high scoring affair UMF completed the sweep 116-84 over the Hornets. Charlie Houghton (Dirigo) and Jason Reynolds (Winslow) had huge performances in that victory. Houghton put in 33 points (12-19 FG, 7-11 three-pointers) and also added six rebounds. Reynolds had 24 points and was all over the glass by grabbing 20 rebounds. The Beavers are now 19-5 and 16-1 in the NAC and will host Maine Maritime Academy in the regular season finale on Senior Day in Farmington on Saturday at 1 p.m.
