Andrew Oliver scored a game-high 27 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter on Monday evening, as the defending Class C North Champion Mattanawcook Academy Lynx defeated the Orono Red Riots 70-57 in a boys quarterfinal game at the Cross Insurance Center.
Oliver made seven 3-pointers, including four of them in the fourth for the Lynx. He also added nine rebounds. MA set a single game Class C North record by knocking down a total of 13 shots from behind the 3-point arc. Avery Jordan chipped in 18 points and five assists. Oliver was named the Hometown Nutrition player of the game. Brady Hews had 22 points for the Red Riots, while Bergen Soderberg made four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points.
