Machias exploded for 27 points in the second quarter and cruised to a 71-46 boys basketball quarterfinal win over Central Aroostook on Monday morning at the Cross Insurance Center.
Dallas Richardson scored a game high 18 points to lead the Bulldogs. Liam O’Connor had 17 points (9-10 FT); four steals, three rebounds, and two assists. Landon Barrett added 12 points.
Will Whited had 11 points and six rebounds to lead the Panthers, while Ben Woodworth chipped in with 10 points.
