Owen Corrigan and Caribou boys pull away from WA to advance to the regional championship game

Owen Corrigan had a game-high 30 points on Thursday afternoon in leading top seeded Caribou past Washington Academy 70-55 in a Class C boys basketball semifinal game played at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

The Vikings went on a run of 18-4 to turn a tie game in the second quarter into a 14 point advantage in the third. Corrigan added four rebounds and four assists. Landen Belanger put in 13 points, Colby Ouellette had 11 while grabbing nine rebounds, and Chandler St. Peter had 10 points. It’ll be a battle of county teams as Caribou will now face Fort Kent in the regional championship game on Saturday night at 8:45 p.m. Washington Academy was led by Parker Cates who had 18 points (six 3-pointers), while Noah Faulkingham had 16 points and seven rebounds.
