Maine baseball was swept at Winthop University over the weekend in Rock Hill, South Carolina including a 9-6 setback on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to complete the sweep. Freshman Rex Hauser hit two homeruns and drove in four runs for the Black Bears, while Juju Stevens also homered twice which were both solo shots. Maine is now 2-10 and will continue their spring road trip next weekend at Dayton. They have eight non-conference games left on their trip, before opening up America East play on March 20 at UMBC.
