Husson softball concluded their Florida spring trip in Winter Haven on Friday, March 13th and it was highly successful as the Eagles now travel back to Maine with a 13-1 record. Here are the results from Friday-
Husson 5, Carroll University 4. Morgan Tainter three hits and three RBI, and Camryn King (Nokomis) two hits and two RBI. Sierra Yates (4-0) wins in the circle, allowing just one unearned run in 5.0 innings. Ana Lang (Searsport) records her third save.
Husson 6, #16 Case Western Reserve University 0. King with two RBI, while Tainter, Lydia Rice (Winthrop), Emily Dunbar (Skowhegan), and Jetta Shook (Bucksport) add one RBI each. Lang (6-1) gets the pitching win with a complete game three hit shutout with three walks and 13 strikeouts.
The Eagles head to Waterville on Tuesday, March 17th for a doubleheader against Colby College.
