When the game started the Red Sox scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back in a 9-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Sandy Leon led the offense with three hits and four RBI. Jackie Bradley JR and Xander Bogaerts had two hits each. Leon and Hanley Ramirez each hit a home run.
Rick Porcello (4-9) allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits and one walk, while striking out eight. Porcello pitched better than his numbers and had his best stuff of the season.
