Price turns in solid performance to help Sox take series from Twins

David Price turned in his best performance of the season in a 6-3 Boston Red Sox win over the Twins at Fenway Park on Thursday night.

Price allowed three runs on six hits in seven innings. He didn’t issue a walk and struck out seven. 

Mookie Betts had two hits, including a home run. Three years ago on this date, Betts played his first major league game for the Red Sox.

Hanley Ramirez hit a home run. Ramirez missed the previous four games with a knee injury. 

Jackie Bradley JR continues to be the hottest hitter on the team. He went 3-4.  Tzu-Wei Lin had two hits. 

The Red Sox took three out of four against the Twins. They finish the first half of the season 25-14 at home. The Red Sox will start a 10 game road trip at Toronto on Friday night. The trip will take them into the all star break.
