Red Sox bats remain silent in loss to Yankees: game two of doubleheader coming up tonight

The Boston Red Sox bats continue to be silent against the New York Yankees pitching. 

CC Sabathia allowed two hits in six shutout innings to lead the Yankees to a 3-0 win on Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park 

The Red Sox have not scored in 22 consecutive innings against the Yankees this series. They are 2-51 with runners in scoring position against the Yankees this season. 

Rick Porcello allowed only three runs (one earned) in six innings. He allowed nine hits, didn’t issue a walk and struck out six. 

The teams will play the second game of the series and final game of the four game series tonight.
