Price and the Sox fall to the Angels

July 23, 2017

David Price allowed five earned runs in five innings as the Boston Red Sox fell 7-3 to the Angels at Anaheim on Saturday night.

The Red Sox built a 3-0 lead by scoring one run in the first inning and two more in the second.

Price allowed four runs in the third inning, including a two run blast off the bat of Andrelton Simmons. Price allowed seven hits and three walks, while striking out five.

The Red Sox offense only produced six hits, despite the hot start. John Farrell was ejected for the second time this season, disputing a strike three call to Dustin Pedroia.  The teams will conclude the three game series on Sunday afternoon.
