Betts hits two homers in Red Sox win over Jays

Mookie Betts hit two home runs, including his third leadoff homer of the season in a 4-3 win at Toronto on Wednesday night.

Eduardo Rodriguez improved to 3-0 with 6.2 strong innings. He allowed three runs on six hits and one walk, while striking out three. The Sox scored two runs in the seventh inning on the second homer from Betts. Brock Holt had three hits, while JD Martinez reached base three times.

Betts now has 14 leadoff home runs in his career. Heath Hembree, Joe Kelly, and Craig Kimbrel pitched 2.1 innings of perfect baseball. The Sox and Jays will play game three of their series on Thursday night with Chris Sale in the mound.
