Oceanside comes from behind to get extra innings win over Medomak Valley

April 27th at Morrill Field in Rockland

Oceanside rallied from down 4-1 to score a pair in the 5th, one in the 7th and walked it off in the 9th for a 5-4 class B baseball win over Medomak Valley. Medomak jumped out with a three run 2nd, two scoring on Brent Stewart’s RBI single, and then Stewart stole second, moved up on a ground out and scored on passed ball to make it 4-1.

Oceanside made it 4-3 in the 5th on a RBI single by Michael Dougherty and a bases loaded walk to Titus Kaewthong, then tied the game on Kaewthong’s RBI double in the 7th and won it on Kaewthong’s sacrifice fly in the 9th, to finish with 3 RBIs.  Uriah Thongsphaphone reached base five times, including two hits and scored four runs.

Dougherty pitched 4 and ⅔ shutout innings allowing just one hit and walking two to earn the win.
