Betts and Benintendi combine for six hits to back strong pitching in Sox win over Jays

Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi recorded three hits each to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 5-2 win over the Blue Jays at Toronto on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Sox scored three runs in the third inning capped by a two run homer from Hanley Ramirez. David Price (3-4) allowed two runs on five hits and three walks, while striking out six in 5.1 innings. The Red Sox bullpen pitched 3.2 innings of scoreless relief. The Bullpen allowed only two hits with six strikeouts with no walks.

Benintendi has two RBI. Betts scored two runs, Rafael Devers had two hits and one RBI. The teams will play the finale of their three game series on Sunday afternoon with Drew Pomeranz scheduled to pitch for the Red Sox.
