Sheridan pitches gem leading Oceanside to prelim win over Presque Isle

Logan Sheridan tossed a complete game five hitter, striking out seven and walking none to lead Oceanside baseball to a 2-0 opening round win over Presque Isle. Oceanside scored both of their runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. Michael Dougherty was hit by a pitch and then scored on Titus Kaewthong’s RBI double, and then he scored on Michael Norton, Jr.’s RBI single.

RJ Gross went the distance for Presque Isle allowing two runs on four hits and three walks, while striking out three. Jonah Hudson had a pair of singles to lead the Wildcat offense.

Fourth seeded Oceanside will host fifth seeded Hermon on Thursday June 7th at 4 PM at Morrill Field in Rockland
