This year we have more returning athletes and a strong freshman class. The hope is we win more matches and earn a spot in the playoffs.
Strengths: We have more returning players and a very strong freshman class and our numbers have increased 23% over last season.
Challenges: Being consistent throughout the sets, intermingling the freshman with the seasoned players to have a strong presence on the court.
Key Players/ Positions: Lillie Maier (Sr.) as Outside Hitter, Erika Hipsky (Jr.) Middle Hitter, Sophie Peasley (So) Outside Hitter and 2 Freshman, Sophia Biggie-Jennings as Middle Hitter/Blocker & Evelyn Dagan as Setter.
League favorites: I look to Calais and Washington Academy to lead the pack again this year. Programs are always strong with great coaching.
