The Best of NFL Week 4

Another week of NFL games are in the book and once again there were some close games and surprises. Here are some of the best games from week 4:

Rams 38 Vikings 31- An offensive show was put on this past Thursday Night as the Rams potent offense dismantled a struggling Vikings defense that would let up 5 total touchdowns. Wideout Cooper Cupp had 162 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the 4-0 Rams.

Texans 37 Colts 34-  One of two overtime games this week that fans were for sure thinking would end in a tie ended up being Houstons first win of the season. A questionable call on 4th & 2 by Colts Head Coach Frank Reich at their own 40 who did not want this game to end in a tie ended up backfiring on him, as the Texans stopped the fourth down then got into a position where they kicked a game winning 37 yard field goal.

Cowboys 26 Lions 24- Coming  off a Sunday Night win against New England, the Lions looks to capitalize on a struggling Cowboys offense. Although the Boys had other ideas, as Ezekiel Elliott would tear apart the Lions defense for 220 all purpose yards en route to a game winning field goal by rookie kicker Greg Maher.

Bengals 37 Falcons 36- This one was a doozy, a combined 9 touchdowns were scored in an offensive shoot out that would end with Andy Dalton finding AJ Green in the red zone in the final minutes of the game to give the Bengals their 3rd win of the season, and handing the Falcons their 3rd loss of the season.

Titans 26 Eagles 23- Possibly the biggest surprise of the week was the Titans upsetting the defending champs thanks to some risky decisions by rookie head coach Mike Vrabel who like Frank Reich decided to go for it on 4th down instead of kicking a tying field goal, and it paid off as Marcus Mariota would find Corey Davis in the end zone with practically no time left in overtime to give the Titans a big 26-23 win.

Raiders 45 Browns 42- One of the best games of the day came down to a game winning field goal in overtime that would give the Raiders their first win of the season, and gave Jon Gruden his first win as an NFL head coach in 9 years. Baker Mayfield made his first career start, but it was spoiled by Derek Carr who would lead the Raiders back thanks to a touchdown to Jared Cook to tie the game at 42 in the final seconds, eventually sending the game into overtime where Raiders would win on a field goal.

Chiefs 27 Broncos 23- A big test for Patrick Mahomes as he made his first start at Mile High. Trailing 23-13 in the fourth, he would go on to lead the Chiefs on a go ahead score to put the Chiefs up 27-23. KC would pick up a Denver fumble as the Broncos drove inside the Chiefs 20 with less than 20 seconds left, to seal the victory. Mahomes threw for 304 yards and a touchdown for the 4-0 winners.
