PVHS girls soccer stays unbeaten with win over Searsport

PVHS traveled to Searsport to take on the Vikings, and came home with a 3-0 girls soccer victory. Lauren Reed scored first for the Howlers with her long shot sailing over the keepers head midway through the first half. Lexi Ireland assisted on the goal. Ireland followed with a goal in each half.

Ireland’s first goal came on a corner kick play, with Bri Carr assisting. Brianna Moon’s 2nd half free kick was headed in by Ireland to finish the scoring. Howler keeper Emilee Ireland had 1 save on 1 shot, as the Howler defense minimized the Searsport chances. PVHS improves to 8-0-1 and climbs to 3rd place in the Maine Principals’ Association class D heal point standings. Searsport drops to 5-7, and keeper Sarah Gent finished with 14 saves on 28 shots. PVHS travels to Guilford tomorrow to take on the PCHS Pirates.
