Below is the news release from the Maine Principals’ Association
“There has been a change in the Class B North Girls’ Cross Country results from this past Saturday, October 20, 2018 due to an error that was discovered over the weekend. As a result of this correction, the Class B Girls North Runners-up with 52 points is Mount Desert Island High School and the Class B North Girls’ Champion is Ellsworth High School with 52 points. The tie was broken between the two schools by going to the results of the sixth place finisher for both teams. Following the race, the awards presented were reversed. We are sorry for this error and the impact that it has had on both schools.”
