Pastrnak helps Bruins end winless streak

David Pastrnak netted two goals and two assists Tuesday night, as the Boston Bruins broke a three game winless streak with a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.

Pastrnak scored a first period goal to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead, before the Senators evened it in the second on a powerplay marker from Thomas Chabot. David Krejci scored the eventual game winner on assists from Pastrnak and Patrice Bergeron on the powerplay with less than a minute left in the middle period. Bergeron scored a powerplay goal 21 seconds into the third for a two goal lead, before Pastrnak finished off his four point night with his 10th goal of the season in just nine games.

Bergeron ended with three points with his goal and two assists. Tuuka Rask made 38 saves on 39 shots in the Bruins second win this season so far over the Senators. Craig Anderson made 28 saves on 32 shots in the loss for Ottawa (4-3-1). The 5-2-2 Bruins were 2-2 on the powerplay, while the hosts went 1-5 with the extra man.

Boston returns home for a short two game homestand against Philadelphia Thursday night, and rival Montreal Saturday.
