Autumn Irwin named Eastern Maine Sports 2018 field hockey player of the year

Autumn Irwin was the rock of the Dexter Tigers defense that only allowed an average of one goal per game for a team that finished as class C north field hockey runner up. Irwin was selected to the Penobscot Valley Conference first team. On Sunday afternoon, Irwin was named Eastern Maine Sports field hockey player of the year Irwin received over 11000 votes and 55% of the overall votes. Molly McCluskey (Orono) finished as runner up while Madyson Hartley (MCI) finished close behind McCluskey. Full results are below. Irwin is the second Eastern Maine Sports Field Hockey player of the year. She joins Addi Williams (MCI) who won the 2017 Eastern Maine Sports Field Hockey player of the year voting.
