Hoak clinches picks title, staff projects NFL conference title games

January 14, 2019

Rob Gronkowski (87) of the New England Patriots makes a catch in an earlier regular season win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Gronkowski and Tom Brady head to their eighth straight AFC title game when they visit Arrowhead Stadium for a re-match with the Chiefs this Sunday. Jeff Hoak locked up his second straight picks contest win over the weekend. The battle now brews for the 3rd to 5th position between Marc Calnan, Chris Lessner, and Cassidy Lessner. Second place picker Anthony Delmonaco needed a 4-0 weekend and for Hoak to go 0-4, but Jeff locked it up with a 2-2 mark while Anthony went 3-1 making it a five game lead with only three NFL games left in the season. Things are tight in 3rd-5th place. Chris grabbed third with a 4-0 week, while Marc and Cassidy are tied in that last position one game behind, as Calnan went 1-3 and Lessner went 3-1. This week it is on to the conference title games. Both games should be great and close, with the staff picking a 3-2 advantage with the Patriots and Saints to represent their conferences in Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta on February 3rd. Here are our full standings and our conference champions edition:
