Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 282 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had 11 Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Silver Clukey averaged 21 points and five 3 pointers in leading the Winslow girls basketball team to two wins. Clukey joins Dylan Hapworth (11-23-14), Nate St. Amand (11-16-15), Ben Smith (5-7-17), and Carly Warn (10-21-18) as student/athletes from Winslow high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.

- Silver Clukey- Winslow- Basketball- scored 18 points (4 three pointers) in 51-27 win over Mt. View. Scored 24 points (6 three pointers) in 54-30 win over Oceanside.

- Makenzie Beaudry- Foxcroft – Basketball- recorded 21 points, 15 rebounds, and three steals in 56-53 loss to Presque Isle

- Emily Curtis- Woodland – Basketball- had 16 points and 12 rebounds in 53-32 win over Shead.

- Maggie Cassonguay- Presque Isle – Basketball- had 22 points (6 three pointers), four rebounds, and three steals in 56-53 win over Foxcroft.
- Sarah Poli- Lawrence – Basketball- had 15 points and 15 rebounds in 57-48 win over Hampden.
