Grant Kidon hit six 3-pointers in the first half, and went 8-11 from distance for the game as he scored a game-high 24 points en route to leading PVHS over Greenville 64-30.
Greenville hung tough early, as the teams were tied at eight before Penobscot Valley went on an 8-2 run to close out the first quarter to lead 16-10. The second quarter belonged to the Howlers as the outscored the Lakers 16-3. Kidon (12 points) and Bradon Blish (4) scored all the points in the second for PV,
A 19 point outburst in the third quarter gave the Howlers all the breathing room they needed, as Greenville was in the second night of playing three straight days.
Greenville drops to 8-9 and finish their season Wednesday at Valley. They were led by Camden Harmon (8 points) and Adam Ethier (8). Chris and Nick Caiazzo finished with five and four points respectively.
Kidon led all scorers with 24, and Blish dumped in 15 points. Reece Carter (7), Zach Doore (6), and Lance Neal (6) also had solid scoring nights. Carter also had 10 rebounds. Penobscot Valley finishes the regular season with a school-record 16 wins, and will host a prelim game next Wednesday.
