Price and Bogaerts power Red Sox to Sunday afternoon win over Baltimore

April 14, 2019

David Price turned in a masterful performance while Xander Bogaerts had a homer and four RBI to power the Boston Red Sox to a 4-0 win over the Orioles at Fenway Park on Sunday afternoon.

Price didn’t allow a walk and only issued three hits to go along with his seven strikeouts Bogaerts hit a sacrifice fly that scored Steve Pearce in the bottom of the fourth inning. Bogaerts added the insurance runs when he hit a three run blast in the bottom of the eighth inning.

With it still a one run game in the top of the eighth inning, Ryan Brasier worked around two base runners to work a scoreless inning. Matt Barnes pitched a scoreless ninth in a non save situation.

The Red Sox and Orioles will finish their four game series in the annual Patriots day game on Monday morning at 11:05.
