September 30, 2019

At Howland, PVHS remains undefeated with a 6-0 win of Lee Academy. Delaney Theriault opened the scoring early with her shot over the keeper 23 seconds in to the game. The game would stay 1-0 for the next 20 minutes, when Emma Buck received a Natalie Spencer pass, and sent a 20-yard shot into the net. Lexi Ireland would add a pair of goals in the second half, first with a header off a Buck corner and then a low left footed blast from inside the 18-yard box.

Makayla Sisco scored her first varsity goal with her well placed shot from distance. Leine McKechnie would cap the game off with a goal of her own. Howler keepers Emilee Ireland and Marissa Hawley earned the shutout stopping the only shot they faced, as they improve to 8-0. Lee goalie Raegan Budge saved 17 of 43 shots on net. PVHS travels to Greenville on Saturday for the rematch of two of the top teams in Class D.
