Zeller goes off as Celtics crush the Bucks

Tyler Zeller tied his career high with 26 points on Friday as the Boston Celtics cruised past the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 124-109 at the TD Garden.

Isaiah Thomas added 20 points while Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk each added 16 points as the Celtics led by as many as 27 points in winning their fourth consecutive game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee (32-47) with 20 points and seven assists while Miles Plumlee had 16 as the Bucks dropped their third straight. The Bucks will try to stop their losing skid when they visit the 76ers on Sunday at 5 p.m.

Zeller shot 9 from 15 from the floor and 8 of 9 from the foul line as he became the first Celtics player other than Thomas to lead the Celtics in points in 18 games. Thomas had been the high scorer in 17 consecutive contests.

Boston (47-32) is now tied for third place in the Eastern Conference with Atlanta. The Celtics will head to Atlanta to face the Hawks on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in a huge Eastern Conference showdown.
