MILO—Peyton Grant and Jozlynn Paige combined to score 34 points in the first half to power Dexter to a 63-21 win over Penquis on Monday night.
The Tigers raced out to a 38-6 halftime lead as Grant scored 20 points in the first 16 minutes, while the freshman Paige put in 12 in her first half of varsity basketball.
Grant scored a game high 28 points, while Paige put in 14. Cheyenne Beem added eight, while Jillean Poliquin and Elizabeth Kinney chipped in with four each, Mya Roettger and Abi Wakefield contributed two points each. Dexter (1-0) will play at PCHS on Saturday.
Sydney Fowler scored a team high 11 points for the Patriots. Lauren Bolstridge and Brianna Sanborn added four points each, while Abigail Conlogue chipped in with two points. Penquis (0-2) will host Searsport on Wednesday.
