Long time baseball homerun king and 25 time All-Star Henry “Hank” Aaron passed away Friday according to his daughter at the age of 86. The cause was not known.
Aaron played in the majors from 1954-1976, mostly with the Atlanta Braves. He broke the homerun record by Babe Ruth with his 715th on April 8, 1974 and finished his career with 755, and was a record he held for nearly 30 years before it was broken by Barry Bonds. He was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame in 1982, and his 2,297 RBI, 6,856 total bases, and 1,477 extra base hits are still the most ever in the sport. You can read more about Aaron below-
