In a battle of unbeatens in Class D, Drury would help open the scoring late in the first quarter. Drury would score his first of the night on an eight yard run, and after the missed point after it was 6-0 Foxcroft. The Ponies held Freeport (2-1) to four total yards on 10 plays in the opening period. The hosts would extend the lead on an 11 play, 70 yard drive that started late in the first and ended early in the second. It would be Drury again, this time a 12 yard TD run and he would also run in a two-point conversion to make it 14-0. The Falcons cracked the scoreboard for the first time with 4:27 left in the first half, with the key play being a 52 yard pass from quarterback Aidan Heath to Danny Casale to the one yard line. Heath scored with a short QB keeper on the next play, with the extra point no good to cut it to 14-6 at halftime.
Foxcroft quickly took the momentum back receiving the short second half kickoff and going 51 yards in nine plays, with Caden Crocker finding the endzone on a one yard run and it was 21-6 Ponies. Heath was intercepted on the second play on the next Freeport possession, and FA had a chance to put it away. They took 5:40 off the clock that lasted until early in the fourth quarter running 11 plays and driving to their opponents one yard line. Freeport however was able to come up with a stop on fourth and goal to get the ball back still down two scores. The Falcons drove to midfield but couldn’t come up with anything, with their last scoring drive coming late in the game. Tony Casale would score on a one yard run with 2:32 to play on a short four play, 29 yard drive after the guests had partially blocked a punt by Foxcroft from deep in their own territory. The all important two point conversion pass attempt by Heath though fell incomplete. The Ponies got it back with 2:32 left to play and would put it away on a second down handoff to Drury who found some space and ran down the right sideline for a 46 yard scoring run with just over a minute to go. The senior had a night to remember with his third TD to help improve the Foxcroft record to a perfect 3-0. He also was named the Bangor Savings Bank Player of the Game for his performance.
