The Endicott Gulls got a late third quarter touchdown on Saturday afternoon, and held off the Husson Eagles 24-17 in Commonwealth Coast Conference football action at the Winkin Sports Complex in Bangor.

The lead would swap hands several times in the first half, as Husson took a 3-0 advantage with 8:41 left in the first quarter on a 28 yard field goal from Aaron Paradis. Endicott (6-1, 3-0 CCC) took their first lead on a five yard Tyler Bridge TD run 2:04 into the second quarter. The Eagles took that lead back at 10-7 when Garrett Poussard scored on a one yard run 6:48 later. The Gulls though would take a 14-10 halftime edge when Tucker Montague caught a 27 yard touchdown pass from Mike Ingraffia with 1:56 left.

Ryan Smith extended the lead to seven at 17-10 with a 33 yard field goal just over halfway through the third quarter. It only took Husson 43 seconds to respond as Nic Visser connected with one of his favorite targets Tyler Halls for a 76 yard TD to tie it up 17-17. Endicott got the game winner when Ingraffia hit Shane Aylward for a 16 yard touchdown with 15 seconds left in the third that ended the scoring.

Visser would finish 14-33 passing for 225 yards with one touchdown but a costly two interceptions in the loss. Poussard had 18 carries for 59 yards and a touchdown, while Shawn Noel Jr. added nine for 44 yards. Noel also caught four passes for 52 yards. Halls had three catches for 119 yards and the long tying touchdown in the third quarter. Kaleb Caron had nine total tackles and a sack, as Husson has their four game win streak snapped dropping to 4-2 and 1-1 in the CCC. Ingraffia was 18-27 for 162 yards and two touchdowns in the win for Endicott. Bridge had 27 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown, and Aylward had nine catches for 72 yards and a score for the Gulls.
