Kaya Loring leads PVHS to quarterfinal win over Fort Kent

BANGOR- Kaya Loring scored 22 points to lead the PVHS Howlers to a 38-25 win over Fort Kent in a Class C quarterfinal game played Tuesday morning at the Cross Insurance Center.

After a first quarter with five lead changes, PVHS built the lead to 23-13 heading into halftime. Kaya Loring had nine points in the second quarter for the Howlers. PVHS scored the first five points of the second half to to take their biggest lead.

Loring had six rebounds, two assists, and two steals to go along with her game high point total. Ellie Austin had six points, 11 rebounds, and two assists. PVHS (16-3) will play a semifinal game against Dexter on Friday afternoon.

Lilly Oliver recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and two assists for the Warriors. The Howlers out rebounded Fort Kent 34-21. PVHS shot 9-16 from the free throw line, while Fort Kent (9-9) shot shot 4-8.
