The PCHS Lady Pirates got their first win when they defeated Greenville 2-1 on Monday afternoon.
“With a lot of players in new positions today, it took the first half for things to start connecting,” PCHS Coach Meranda Hunt said
In the first half neither team scored. Braylin Bilodeau led in shots on goal with six, one of which went in at 29:35 left in the second half. Kendall Kimball followed with five shots on goal, while dominating the mid field. Brylee Ricker and Hope Hunt each had three shots on goal. Hunt followed one all the way across the goal line with 6:58 left in the game after playing goalie the first half. Brookelynn Hunt had two shots on goal and Abbey Ricker had one. Kaileigh Elderkin stepped up and played goalie in the second half saving one of two shots against her.
“Molly Sipple took a new role as center back and rocked it, never letting the ball get past her and guiding Sarah Silva through playing right full back for the first time ever,” Coach Hunt said. “Katelynn White, Gracie Talbot, Baylynn Grant, and Elizabeth Gilbert rounded out the defense rotating through in both mid and full back positions.”
