Ella Suitter scored three goals, and Meghan Peters added two to lead the Hodgdon Hawks to an 8-1 girls soccer win over Katahdin on Monday.
The Hawks scored four goals in both halves. In the first half, Suitter scored two while Faith Howland and Alaina Campbell each had one. Peters added two assists with her two second half goals. Amelia Scott and Suitter each added a second half goal. Grace Little and Aleyah Matheson added one assist each.
Katahdin picked up a goal by Hunter Hartsgrove. Katahdin goalies Maggie Ohara and Emma Schmidt combined to make 30 saves on 38 shots. Katahdin (0-7-1) will host Southern Aroostook on Thursday. Madison Smith and Paige Fitzpatrick combined to make seven saves on eight shots for the Hawks. Hodgdon (7-3) will host East Grand on Friday.
