Fernando Oliveira scored two second half goals, including the game winner with 9:46 left to go on an assist from Mateo Mendez to lead Foxcroft Academy to a 3-1 boys soccer victory over MDI.
Treyan Nelson scored a first half goal for 7-4-2 MDI as they led 1-0 at the half. For the 7-5-1 Ponies, Donnie Poole scored on a header off a corner kick from Kyle Jankunas 7:47 into the second half to tie it before Oliveira’s game winner. Oliveira then sealed it with 6:08 to go on assist from Sungwoo Cho.
Foxcroft goalie Peyton Wellman stopped 25 shots in the win, while MDI goalie Aiden Fisichella stopped 20.
